seriously i feel like the laziest person alive... i borrowed Bird By Bird from the library to inspire myself to start writing seriously and haven't even written on LJ since i got it.. even mellie 's wonderful writing challenge that i had thought to take on has been brushed aside... (how are you doing with that by the way?)

so yeah i suck

in other news, everybody needs to start reading the manga Shinobi Life.. it's really yummy and intriguing and flangsty and all the good things good shoujo manga is... smartycat are you reading this?

i'm also feeling deprived of good Zutara fic.. tho Chains by Wohitzi is finally turning in an interesting direction! I want some well thought out post-series character development!! if I knew how to write it, i'd do it myself! my one fic idea kind of died.. do you remember it coley_merrin ? I think it grew too big in my head and got convinced that i'd never be able to write it all.. i need to do that 1 inch picture frame thing..

anyway grandlarseny , today is that last day of june and i never finished posting my fic recs... but then again.. nobody else did either... soooo.. i don't feel so bad? ::sheepish:: do we have a new challenge for july? maybe i should just post my recs here...

ok that's enough rambling for now i guess...i'm all over the place lately..maybe that's why it's so hard for me to just sit down and do something -_-

i am still obsessed with avatar and zutara specifically.. fics I'm reading include:

unfortunately, all of these are being updated slower than my LJ, so i keep myself busy with HP fic

(usually at checkmated but i am very much addicted to the epic!fic-verse that belongs to fernwithy .. to start from the beginning go here)

I've also recently got sucked into Naruto-fic via SasuSaku AU fics on FFN.. actually specifically by theblanket who writes the best tongue-in-cheek romance i've seen on The Pit in years! Reminds me of the AU heydays of Sailor Moon ficcage.. so from there i got sucked into some of the cliched marriage!fics which i can never get enough of and then i got to thinking, has anyone ever written any of those type of marriage!fics with the plot-twist where sakura can't have children?  that would be a really interesting (and angst-filled) fic...  c'mon guys, lay it on me! i know most of you are narutards :-P don't hold out on the goods!


oh one more thing i have recently discovered! podfics.. or audiofic if you will.  People read their (or other ppl's) stories aloud for your listening pleasure.  no more time to read fanfic anymore? fear not! you can just d/l it to your mp3 player and fangirl to your heart's content while driving or at the gym, with no one the wiser!

i think it's the coolest thing ever.. then again, i went to the bodies exhibit to celebrate my birthday ^^

the ending was freaking awesome... and she wants to write a sequel and i never thought i could love an AU kenshin fic this much... but apparently i'm not the only one... 3000 reviewers can't be wrong... oh it's so so good... i wanted to cry so bad
