So whenever i read a good fic on FFN, i automatically go back to the author's page and see what their fave stories are in order to find more good reading... it usually works out pretty well. But in the case of Zutara fics, i guess since the fandom is still fairly new, i run into a lot of dead-ends... all these authors seem to have in their favorite stories listing are Draco/Hermione fics.. which is like searching for hot guys and ending up in a gay bar to me... like yay!fics!... but fics i have no idea how to go about enjoying...even if they are hot and well written... i mean really? Draco/Hermione? He called her the Wizarding equivalent of the N-word.. but yeah to each his own i guess...

in any case it leads me to a disappointing lack of Zutara ficcage.. the AU's are pretty fun (the Blue Rose!) but i want some nice canon!based stuff (like Stormbenders) why does fandommekeep her lj f-locked?? so barring any new fics i'm stuck imagining scenarios.. (and no crystalteari still haven't written that Mai-->Zuko-->Katara piece) but I was plaing around with an Aladdin re-write...with Zuko as the sheltered prince and Katara as the street-rat (or mouse ^^) 
but now that i think about it, doesn't that sound a lot like cinderella? whoa..revelation: Aladdin = Cinderella in reverse... crazy stuff man... genie = fairy godmother.. Jafar = evil stepmother?? abu and carpet as gus-gus and jack.. and IAGO = LUCIFER!!! 

ok that is awesome-ness right there.. i will end here on that note so as not to taint the genius

also, in case anyone was wondering whether i ever found that drabble about 'fine-tuning' (a la CT and lemonyloyce 's inappropriate mentor/mentee relationship) i did! and here it is! 

in other news, i have a midterm tomorrow which i haven't started studying for...anybody know anything about Spinoza's Theological-Political Treatise? All i got out of it was that God=Nature and therefore whoever is in power is 'chosen' by God, because it was 'natural selection'. 

I guess that means God chose Bush.

I think I'm an atheist now. 

I should probably read the book again, so I can convince myself that Spinoza has no clue what he's talking about. For my sanity.


I'm still sick.  Anybody know any good home remedies to get rid of phlegm? (sorry if that was TMI) I hate sounding like a 40 yr old chainsmoking lesbian...

He looks as if he's come straight from the front lines with his wild hair and his bright eyes that look at everything but her own. His hand is clenching around the edges of a weathered envelope and she wonders if he means to give it to her at all. The wound on his forehead will most likely scar from the looks of it, but she thinks that it will be an asset to his features rather than a flaw; his face is rather delicate and his green eyes almost feminine.

There is something that seems frayed about him and she wants to take his hand and offer him tea and a warm blanket and seat by the fire.

He insists on standing at the door though, as he struggles to deliver his missive. She can feel the amused smile drop from her face as the words tumble out of his mouth. They fall on her like so many physical blows and it is all she can do to remain standing. When it is over, he finally looks at her and she sees in his eyes all the pain she feels, multiplied by guilt.

She is the girl with no shoes, but he is the man with no feet.

So, she takes his hand and offers him tea and a warm blanket and a seat by the fire.

ok so last nite i'm flipping back and forth between cartoon network and nick-at-nite and i had a bit of an epiphany...

vash, meryl and milly = three's company

i'm serious!! vash as jack, the flirtatious, hysterically silly yet loveable roommate to the vacuous yet sweet blonde, and the good-hearted no-nonsense brunette... i don't think i ever imagined jack getting together with janet til now...
and wolfwood would be his best friend, with the equally flirtatious but almost snarky personality...

and the nosy mr. roper...? legato?? ok maybe not..

but yeah it could be fun...

speaking of crossovers, monica and chandler sorta remind me of how i would imagine ron and hermione's relationship to be (in present day new york as adults rather than in hogwarts as children i mean) the neurotic and nitpicky girl who used to be an ugly duckling, and the laid-back dork who's kinda dense living in marital bliss... i tell u it's perfect.. plus! pheobe as loony luna! so who's harry? joey or ross? i'm leaning more towards ross because of the tendency to brood heavily (and the black hair ^^;)

that would make ginny rachel and joey neville, which could work in the scheme of the big love triangle, but i don't really like rachel, and joey is..well...an attractive ladies-man...which unfortunately neville is not ::huggles neville:: not that i don't love him! but then again, joey is kind of oblivious and soft-hearted, so i guess it could work...

oooh brainstorm! malfoy as gunther!! totally fits into the D/G thing and white blond hair too!! plus he's kinda freaky...

who else we got...? cho... hey! she could be ross' girlfriend from the second or third season, remember julie? the chinese woman? it's perfect!! or we could always go with emily... she was evil in the same possessive way as cho was... ok maybe not the same way, but they were both def evil... and janice could be parvati!! both of them are annoying.. it could work..? and.. viktor krum as tom selleck's character richard, the old boyfriend! omg this is too good... somebody stop me before i find a snape or a sirius...

this is so sad...
