so i made it back from iraq in one piece... it was an intense trip and one i can't really describe in an LJ post but there will be pictures on facebook for those of you who are friends with me on there...

i'm now trying to catch up one my manga and fanfic... nice thing about the flight back was that emirates airlines had the hana yori dango final movie on their in-flight movie list, so i got to watch that! really cute and fun movie.. i think SARS just came out with the hardsub today ::pokes coley_merrin :: go watch!

i can hardly remember what i was reading before i left.. i really should keep a list handy somewhere. 

anyway, i missed you guys and i'm glad to be back!

in other news, i'm trying (to no avail) to improve my study habits... 2 papers due by tuesday and i haven't started either of them -_-;; when will i learn!!??

Also finally got around to watching HYD2 and what i wanna know is how they got from 5th Ave and Broadway all the way to Waverly?? and what college does Tsukasa go to? because that campus is way too pretty for NYU and not nearly big enough to be Columbia... and yes, i know this is a j-drama...i'm jus touchy about my favorite city...

finally got to finish watching the entire series of HYD... and wow...is that like THE MOST entertaining shoujo anime u have ever seen or what? the funny parts r hilarious.. the emotional parts are soo emotional.. and the waffy parts have u totally melting...

i still marvel at the skill of the creator in making me so sympathetic to such an unlikeable character as doumyoji.. he is such an obnoxious jackass but the way he loves her...!! and he is drawn so well... i love all of his facial expressions.. and i love that makino made him cookies with all his facial expressions... and i love that she is so likeable without being perfect... and i love the uberexaggeration of it all...

and i am convinced that eve 6's song 'think twice' is totally doumyoji's character theme... and that new liz phair song 'extraordinary..?' is makino's

and i need to find some good ficcage for this series!! have read all of demented chris' and jennifer wand's on ffn... anybody have anything to rec??
