i need a muse!

help wanted: one muse to provide plot to otherwise random inspiration

ok so how many of you remember this piece? i think [info]figgy14 is prob the only one ^^ but that's all good... what i really need is help on making a plot with these characters... i have ideas about who they are and i have a theme, but i trying to decide whether i should keep it on a realistic fiction plane or branch out into fantasy-ish/mythology-esque type of stuff...

here's my basic premise: the girl is meant to represent 'experience/inspiration/change' for a boy who has reached a rut in his life... a quarter-life crisis type of thing...

my biggest conflict at this point is trying to decide whether to keep the girl a normal college girl or turn her into something a bit more supernatural... or even just a figment of his imagination... the personification of his ideas? or something... is that too weird? would it make more of an impact if she were a real girl? there's meant to be a slight romance between them but nothing everlasting... i see the boy as the freudian ego/superego where the girl is id with a muse complex?

i need help figuring this out! soundboards please offer your services!

more [info]31_days themes

seems like everbody's drabbling these days... makes me miss [info]raine_mystique

anyway, i've gotten a bit behind on the themes for [info]31_days so here's another one that didn't make the deadline...

Aug 7, Theme: Twiggy vs James Bond (Full Metal Panic) )

if you're wondering about the hyperlink in the drabble, it's the mp3 of the song that inspired the theme..i'd like to think it's playing in the background of the scene ^^

and in case you're interested, two more of the themes i actually got done in time...

Aug 6, Theme: To the lords and ladies of Byzantium: (Original Piece)

Aug 16, Theme: Kingdom of the mad (Inuyasha)

as you can tell...i've missed a lot in between... hopefully i'll be inspired to fill those in...

oh started writing a short story based on a dream i had... it's very weird... psychological mystery thing...

what i have so far:

It all started when he couldn’t find his glove. Herman Oppenheim never misplaced anything, and the loss of his right glove was inconceivable. He was holding the left one in his hand, having just taken it off as he entered the back door to his spacious home. It wasn’t until he started to take off his overcoat that he discovered the real problem.

The hand that would be covered by that missing right glove seemed to have disappeared with it.

He reacted with very careful surprise, his cashmere wool blend slipping off his shoulders in a puddle around his feet as he examined the smoothed stump at his wrist. It was as if it had never been there at all, as if he’d never known the use of that right hand. And yet, a part of him knew that he was not left-handed, that this was not natural. Still, there had to be a logical explanation; there was always a logical explanation.

The sound of the doorbell shifted his attention away from his strange predicament as he realized that guests were arriving for the cocktail party he was hosting that night.

what did i tell u? weird... u'll never guess what happened to his hand... :-P
